mOS
Stabiity is one of the key importance when selecting a Retail System. The long operating hours and huge transaction volume can be very stressful to both hardware and software. Understanding this, we have decided to provide an alternative operating system (mOS) for our customers for mission critical environment.
mOS is basically a customized version of the popular Linux operating system. With server-grade stability, mOS provides an unmatched level of stability when compared to Windows operating systems. Machines are designed to run for years, within minimum downtime. On top of this solid foundation, our team has customized it further to ensure optimization when running any of our retail applications.
Unlike Windows operating systems which are known to be resource hungry, mOS has been tested to run very well on only 512MB RAM, on a humble Pentium 4. Very little resources are needed for the Operating System, allowing the rest of the resources to be used by the main application.
